Issues with connecting, authorising and fetching pictures

Last Updated a year ago

As you may be aware there have been some issues with Instashop recently with regards to connecting to Facebook and retrieving pictures. While I appreciate that this has been frustrating, it has also been out of our hands. After some back and forth with Facebook the team have managed to find a solution. The great news, InstaShop is now even more robust!

Getting you onto the new service will require you to do a couple of things. I know this is a bit of a frustration. But it’s necessary so we can be sure that InstaShop fetches your new pictures and, importantly, prevents your pictures from disappearing.

Here’s what you need to do

  • Make sure you are logged into the correct Instagram account, on the same browser you are using Instashop on.
  • Login to Instashop
  • Visit Configure ⇒ Instagram from the side menu

  • Click the re-authorise button next to an account with an exclamation mark next to it.

  • Follow the steps to authorise your account, after which you will be returned to Instashop.
  • Repeat these steps for each each additional Instagram account (you will need to logout of instagram in a separate tab before going through the steps again).
  • Once you have re-authorised all your accounts, click 'Fetch new pictures'.
